Helped composer P. Andrew Willis out this week, prepping scores and assisting on a recording session for the new comedy with Brian Posehn, Uncle Nick. We recorded multi-string player Beth Cohen. Beth is an expert in bowed string instruments from various cultures and often presents concerts where she performs on many of them. Today though our needs were rather vanilla as we just had her doubling on violin and viola.
Uncle Nick is the story of a family Christmas gone wrong, coupled with a back story about the 1974 Ten Cent Beer Night riot that overtook a Cleveland Indians baseball game. I’ve been a fan of Brian Posehn since The Sarah Silverman Show and co-star Scott Adsit from 30 Rock. This one looks to be a classic irreverent comedy.
